Cryosurgery of hemorrhoids may be combined with ligation. This procedure has proved to be effective for large hemorriods because ligation cuts off the heat input by the blood supply and makes freezing more effective(lethal).

Basic Rules:

• Apply warm cryo Probe to the moist ended lesion, before freeze.
• If a destruction deeper than 2mm is required, a double freexe-thaw procedure is suggested.
• Approx.1mm of the frozen tissue's outer edge is not destroyed.It is reversible.
